Enrolment
Enrolment at BPM Drum Academy confirms your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. All lessons are private, 1-on-1 sessions with Troy and are available to students of all ages and skill levels.
New students are encouraged to contact Troy before their first session to discuss goals, scheduling, and any specific requirements.
- Enrolment is open to all ages.
- Troy reserves the right to decline enrolment at his discretion.
- Students may be asked to provide basic information (name, age, experience level) to help tailor lessons from the outset.
Teaching Calendar
Weekly lessons operate in line with the NSW Public School Term Calendar. As term dates may differ between public and private schools, all lesson scheduling and billing is based on NSW public school terms.
- Weekly lessons follow the NSW Public School Term Calendar.
- Students are billed per term in accordance with these dates.
- Holiday lessons may be available upon request and are subject to availability.
Lesson Fees
Current lesson rates will be communicated directly by Troy at the time of enquiry. Fees are subject to change, and any changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.
- Payment is due prior to or on the day of each lesson unless a term-based payment arrangement has been agreed upon.
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed by Troy at enrolment.
- Fees are per lesson and are non-transferable to another student.
- Outstanding fees may result in lessons being suspended until the account is brought up to date.
Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons
We understand that life happens. BPM Drum Academy aims to be as flexible as possible, and Troy is committed to working with students to find solutions when scheduling conflicts arise.
- 24-hour notice required — please notify Troy at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full lesson rate.
- Make-up lessons are offered at Troy's discretion and subject to availability — they are not automatically guaranteed.
- Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in enrolment being reviewed.
- If Troy needs to cancel a lesson, a full make-up lesson will be provided.
- Make-up lessons may be offered during the NSW Public School Holidays.
How to cancel: Contact Troy directly via SMS or Facebook Messenger as soon as you know you can't attend. The sooner you let him know, the better the chance of rescheduling.
Student Conduct
BPM Drum Academy is a respectful, professional learning environment. All students and their accompanying parents or guardians are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times.
- Students should arrive on time and ready to learn.
- Respectful behaviour toward Troy, the studio, and any equipment is expected at all times.
- Deliberate damage to studio equipment or property will be the financial responsibility of the student or their guardian.
- Troy reserves the right to end a lesson and/or terminate enrolment if behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful.
- Parents or guardians of minor students are welcome to wait in the designated waiting area during lessons.
Equipment & Studio
The BPM Drum Academy studio is a fully equipped, air-conditioned teaching space with two acoustic drum kits and a ventilated recording area. All equipment necessary for lessons is provided.
- Students are welcome to bring their own sticks; Troy can advise on suitable options.
- Studio equipment must be used with care and only under Troy's instruction or guidance.
- Students should not adjust, modify, or tamper with studio equipment without permission.
- The studio has security cameras in operation for the safety of all parties.
- Food and drink (other than water) are not permitted near the drum kits or recording equipment.
Health & Safety
The wellbeing of students, parents, and Troy is a priority. We ask that all attendees respect basic health and safety practices when visiting the studio.
- Please do not attend lessons if you are unwell — contact Troy to reschedule. This helps protect everyone at the studio.
- Students or parents should inform Troy of any relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, or hearing concerns that may affect lessons.
- Hearing protection by way of isolation headphones is provided and mandatory for all lessons.
Photography & Media
BPM Drum Academy may occasionally capture photos or short video clips of students during lessons for use in promotional materials, including social media and the academy website.
- Any use of a student's image for promotional purposes will only occur with prior written consent from the student (or parent/guardian for minors).
- Students or guardians may withdraw consent at any time by contacting Troy directly.
- No photography, video recording, or audio recording is permitted by students, parents, or visitors without Troy's prior approval.
Liability
BPM Drum Academy takes reasonable care to provide a safe and well-maintained studio environment. However, participation in drumming lessons involves some physical activity, and students attend at their own risk.
- BPM Drum Academy is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought to the studio.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of children in the waiting area.
Changes to Terms
BPM Drum Academy reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to enrolled students with reasonable notice and will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
Continued enrolment following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you have concerns about any changes, please contact Troy directly to discuss.
